Alison Duddle is joint artistic director of Horse and Bamboo, where she has been since 1997. Before that she worked for Heart of The Beast Mask and Puppet Theatre in Minneapolis.

She has made the masks for this piece as well as being outside eye on a 5 day residence at their space in 2014.

She has helped us on musical narrative, the audiences journey, internal narrative of the characters, a new mask (Olge was originally Olga – a grandmother before Alison got her hands on the show!), some of the beautiful shadow puppets that you see, and generally being a great, beautiful wonderful director with amazing energy – we trust her so much, we’d walk over hot coals for her. In masks.
